Very many thanks to Alun for an extremely enjoyable, informative and entertaining evening.  Iconic newspaper images and the stories behind them illustrated not only the progress and history of  photography (from the first camera and horse-drawn carriage  to transport equipment to the ‘action’) through to the immediacy of our digital world and the place of the printed page within it.   A lively question and answer session  completed the evening and a great time was had by all.
