18th July: Print and Projected of the Year Competition

Last night’s annual competition was judged by Peter Prosser APAGB who had the difficult task of choosing the Print of the Year and Projected Image of the year.  The Print trophy was awarded to Alan Colegrave for his landscape “Returning from North Cape”.  John Draper’s “King Charles” and “A Walk on the Common” were second and third respectively.  Peter awarded Highly Commendeds to Alan Colegrave’s “Water Fun”, Trevor Alexander’s “Natural History Museum”, Julia Wainwright’s “Singing Red Winged Lark” and Alice Kass’  “Raining Bubbles”.

The Projected Trophy went to Julia Wainwright for “Male Cheetah Going for the Kill”;  “First Light, First Walk” by Avril Candler was second and Dave Martin’s “Ladybird on Pasque Flower third.  Highly Commended were Julia Wainwright’s “Wildebeest Facing Certain Death”, “Just Waiting” by Trevor Alexander;  Ron Churchill’s “Bee on Bramble” was commended.

This is the final competition of our 2016/17 season and we thank all our judges, contributors, members and visitors for their support and encouragement.

We’re looking forward to September and the start of our 2017/18 season.
