Many thanks to Amanda Wright who judged last night’s  competition authoritatively and comprehensively, identifying strengths and weaknesses along the way and scoring accordingly.

In the Beginners’ section Eric Everatt scored 20 and the extra point for “Globe Thistle”, 19 for “Cloister” and 18 for “Tree Fungus”.  Wai Cheung scored 18 for his “Card Player”.

The Open section was won by John Draper with “In Tandem”.  John also scored 20 for “The Boxer” ;  20s went to Judith Gimber for “Ready for Home” and “Gannet with Young” and to Dave Martin’s “Kiss3”;  19s were scored by Alan Graham for “Clematis”, “Feathers” by Ron Churchill. “Frosted Reeds” by Dave Martin, “Frozen in Flight” by Avril Candler, “This Is Not A Horse’s Head” by Frank Woods and Judith Gimber’s “Hannah Cockcroft’s Lap of Honour”.  There were several 18s too!  The high scoring images can be seen on our Flickr page.
