Many thanks to John and to Alan for a very entertaining and informative evening on their ‘take’ on portrait photography.  Both presentations were  illustrated with images of street and studio work, the use of monochrome vs colour, environmental and close-up work.  The challenges of lighting, spontaneous and posed subjects, lens choice for different situations etc. provided us all with food for thought.  An inciteful and timely evening for our upcoming annual people and portrait competition.
