6th Feb 2018: Print Competition #4

Jim Nemer was our judge and he gave each of the sixty+ prints a helpful critique and commentary.  It was a very high scoring evening with over half the prints scoring 18 and above. It was great to see such a good variety of subjects.

In the Beginners’ section, Steven Hall scored 19 for “The Lookout” and 18  for “TK Tower Berlin”;  Keith Rafetry won the section with “Mind Your Fingers” and scored 20 with “Only 400 Kilometers To Go” and an 18 for “Palms Up”.

The very high scoring Open section was won by Julia Wainwright with “Japanese Macaque Looking Cold” and she also scored 20s for “Green Woodpecker in the Grass” and “Black- Backed Jackal Pups”;  Judith Gimber’s “Courting Couple” was second and “Frozen in Flight” by Avril Candler third. 20s were also scored by Ron Churchill for “Olden Norway” and Paul Sahota for “The Devil Casts His Net”.  Too many 19s and 18s to mention!

Congratulations to Keith and Julia for their first placed prints and thanks to everyone for supporting the evening.  Special thanks to Jim for his informative and entertaining judging.
