1st May 2018: Annual Monochrome Print and Projected Competition

Our judge for this annual competition was Colin Southgate FRPS DPAGB who gave a considered and helpful critique for the print and projected competitions.

In the Print competition Dave Martin’s dynamic portrayal of “Brighton West Pier” was the winning print and he was presented with the trophy;  Ron Churchill’s “I’m Not Sure” second and John Draper’s “A Walk In The Snow” third.  Sam Curling’s “Misty Morning” and “Wicked Witch” were highly commended as were Alice Kass’ “Stand By”, Alan Colgrave’s “Cheese Seller Borough Market”,  Stephen Bohan’s “Heron” , Judith Gimber’s “Pedal Power”  and Ron Churchill’s “King and Queen”.

Dave Martin also won the Projected trophy with “Horse On Barton Hills”;  “Zebras Drinking” by Julia Wainwright was second and “Wayne Jenkinson Junior” by Gerald Michael in third place.  Colin also commended nine images which can be seen on our Flickr page.

Congratulations to Dave for sweeping the board and to the placed and commended photographers.  Thanks to everyone who entered and came along to support the evening and special thanks to Colin.
