19th June 2018: Print Competition #6

This was the last monthly print competition of our 2017/18 season.  Our judge, Kevin Day, gave all the prints a thorough, expert commentary and critique  – and he had a large number of prints, across different subject matter and genres, to judge.

Four prints scored 20 points and congratulations go to Alan Colegrave whose “Road to North Cape – Norway” was first of the evening, Julia Wainwright’s “Coyote in the Snow” in second place and “Brian” by Stephen Bohan third.  Alice Kass’ “Good Service in Winter Time” was highly commended.  19s were scored by Mark Buckley-Sharp, Julia Wainwright, Gerald Michael, Frank Woods and Judith Gimber and there were several 18s by Trevor Alexander, Stephen Bohan, Judy Buckley-Sharp,  Avril Candler, Ron Churchill, Alan Colegrave, Judith Gimber, Peter Polkinghorne, Julia Wainwright and Frank Woods.

Very many thanks to everyone who submitted prints and those who came along to support the evening and of course special thanks to Kevin for his judging.

Finally, congratulations to Judith Gimber who has won the Open Print Trophy 2017/18.

We all look forward to next season which begins in September.
