Tonight’s competition was judged by Damon Guy in his first appearance at Harrow. Damon gave each image a comprehensive and helpful critique which made for an informative and enjoyable evening.
The Beginners’ section was won by Wai Cheung with “Cardinham Peak” and Mike Kass scored 19 for “Steel”. Congratulations to both.
In a high scoring Open section, Julia Wainwright’s “Sea Otter Making Waves in Alaska” won overall. 20s were scored by Dave Martin for “Mycena Fungi” and “West Pier Brighton”, Judith Gimber for “Sweet Chestnut” and Peter Polkinghorne for “Warm Up”. Congratulations to them all. Five images scored 19 points: “Dirt Bikers” and “Pride Girl” by John Draper; “Nuzzling” and “Portrait of an Ugly Bird Waldrapp Ibis” by Avril Candler and “Wile Bald Eagle Calling” by Julia Wainwright. Damon scored fourteen images 18 points and these together with the top scorers can be seen on our Flickr page.
