Tonight – 13th November ‘London from the Roof Tops’ – an evening with James Burns

We look forward to tonight’s talk by James Burns who takes amazing and breathtaking images of London from roof top vantage points not open to the public.

Visitors are very welcome to come along to see his extraordinary work.  There is a modest £3 fee for non-members on this occasion.

 

 

6th November: Print Competition #2

Last night’s competition was judged by Chris Drury LRPS.

Simon Shindler won the Beginners’ section with “It’s Not Even Raining” and also scored 20 for “Gimme High Five”.

The Open section was won by Ron Churchill for his portrait of “Neuri”,  Judith Gimber’s “Twilight Fishing” was second and Alan Graham’s “Threatening Prairie Evening” third.  Chris awarded 20s to Ron for “Our Driver”, Judith for “Wreck of Dimitrius” and “Twilight Fishing”, and Alan for “”Tumbled Down”.  19s were scored by Alice Kass for “Tracks”, John Draper for “Maja”, Julia Wainwright for “Bison in a Snow Storm” , Peter Keeble for “Island Fortress”and Judith for “Steady As He Goes”.   There were five 18s and they went to Avril Candler for “Grackle With Attitude!”, “Slice of London” and “Down and Out of Luck”, to Peter Keeble for “Door to Nowhere”, Ron for “Proboscis” and John for “Stag After Mud Bath”.
