Our first competition of the new season was judged last night by Amanda Wright. It was great to see such a wide range of subject matter and hear Amanda’s constructive commentary.

In the Open section six images scored 20’s with Julia Wainwright’s overall winner “King Penguin Preening” gaining the extra point. Julia also scored 20 for “Wary Sea Otter with Young”. 20s went to Judith Gimber for “Sandy” and “Hands of Toil”; to John Draper for “Snipe Fly” and “Zebra Springtime” by Avril Candler. 19s went to Avril for “Football Star”, John for “Ruffles”, Judith for “Where Next” and Julia for “White Tailed Eagle with Fish” and “Sunrise Gallop”. These and the images scoring 18s can be seen on our Facebook page, including George Demetriou’s “Sax in New Orleans” which did well in the Beginners’ section.
