10th March: Projected Image Competition #6

Last night was the last of the season’s projected image competitions – it was a bumper entry and it was great to have Kevin Day along to judge.

The Beginners’ section was won by Ian Roberts  with “Old Man on a Bridge”;  he also scored 20 for  “Stork Repairing the Nest” and 19s for “Dragon Flying Cleaning Head” and “Shadows in the Bluebell Wood”.  Congratulations to Ian who is no longer a beginner!  Mike Kass  scored 18s for “Canal Walk” and “Searching the Land”.

In the Open section Kevin awarded over half the entries 18s and above.   Julia Wainwright’s “White Horse Running Free”  was the overall winner.  Twenties went to Julia for “Blue Tit Bathing, to Judith Gimber for “Worm Catcher, Trevor Alexander for “Southwark Station Jubilee Line”, Dave Martin for “Columbines” and “Staiths Harbour Sunset” and Avril Candler for “Fighting Goldfinches and “Lone Walker”.    These and all the images scoring 19s and 18s can be seen on our Facebook page.

Many thanks to Kevin for his informative and enjoyable judging, congratulations to the winners, high scorers and to everyone who supported the evening.

As this was the last of the monthly projected image competitions we congratulate Julia for winning the Projected Trophy 2019-20.

Good luck to everyone for the monthly Print trophy competition which concludes in June.    Lots to look forward to!
