19th March: Annual Print and Projected Monochrome Competition

Last night’s competition was expertly judged by Martin Patten ARPS. Martin’s commentary and critique across all the entries was informative and helpful.

The Monochrome Print trophy was won by Alan Colegrave for “Femi – Actor” – congratulations to Alan; Ron Churchill’s “No Longer Needed” was second and Dave Martin’s “London Aquadrome” third. Martin awarded three prints highly commended and these were “The Caress” by Dave, “Sanjacklar Wall Textures” by Mark Buckley-Sharp and “The Old Wreck” by new member Barry Sampson.

The Monochrome Projected trophy was won by Peter Keeble with “Looking Out” – many congratulations to Peter. In second place was “Snuggling Down” by Avril Candler and Alan Colegrave’s “Beyond 71Deg North” third. Highly commended images were “Glorious Mud” by Judith Gimber, “Something Was Said” by Peter Keeble, “The Veteran” by John Draper and “Willian Village Pond” by Dave Martin.

Many thanks to everyone who entered and special thanks to Martin for his excellent judging.
