24th November: NWFed Inter-club Competition Round 2 – judged by Colin Southgate FRPS

The North West Federation inter-club competition comprises two sections within each round – prints and projected. Thanks to Covid-19, this year’s competition comprise two sections of projected images; the scores from each are combined to produce the overall result.  Within each section two stars are awarded amongst the ’20s’ and starred images go forward to the final (where all the starred images are judged) regardless of the clubs’ success.

We hosted our second round match last night between Croxley Camera Club, XRR and ourselves.  Colin Southgate’s commentaries were well-measured and informative.  Congratulations go to Croxley who won by a whisker in a very tight contest.  Congratulations also to Gordon Calder, Croxley CC, Andy Sands, XRR and Harrow’s Julia Wainwright and Avril Candler for their stars.

Many thanks to Colin Southgate, to our visitors for joining us and to everyone from Harrow who came along to support us.

Now we look forward to the third round in December, hosted by Croxley,  the decider of which club goes forward to the semi-finals early next year.
