4th June: Print Competition #6

The final monthly print competition of the season was judged by Kevin Day who gave an excellent, comprehensive and informative commentary across all the entries. We had a huge entry and thank everyone for contributing to an extraordinary evening. Kevin commented on the high standard of prints presented this evening.

In the Beginners‘ section, Barry Sampson won with “Newcastle Station Roof” and scored 18s for “Reflection in Blue and “Grand Union Canal at Casio”. Mike Kass also scored 18 for “Sun in the Eye”.

In the Open section 26 prints scored 18s and above with John Draper’s “Stormy Weather” in first place. Julia Wainwright’s “Strength and Vulnerability” was second and Dave Martin’s “Stathes Harbour and Town” third. Julia’s “Dropped Catch – Bald Eagle” also scored 20 points. 19s went to Trevor Alexander, Judy Buckley-Sharp, Avril Candler, Alan Colegrave, John Draper, Judith Gimber, Peter Keeble and Dave Martin.

It was a great way to end the season. Congratulations to the winners and high scorers. Grateful thanks to Kevin for making the evening so enjoyable and to everyone who contributed to the evening.
