Last night’s ‘get creative with filters’ competition was judged by Peter Fry from Barnstable Camera Club.  Peter gave each image a thorough critique in a very constructive and helpful way and we had a very enjoyable evening for our last competition of our 20/21 season.

Congratulations to Julia Wainwright for  her winning image “Canary Wharf Skyline” and her second placed “Ice Beach”;  Peter Keeble’s “Car and Weeds” was third.  Highly commended were John Draper’s “Bluebell Woods”, Avril Candler’s “Brittle Bouquet” and Judith Gimber’s “White Water Whirl”.   Although these were singled out, there were several images that only just missed the cut.  With the start of our 21/22 season in September our monthly competitions will be scored and only the annual competitions will retain the current format.

Many thanks to everyone who entered the competition, supported the evening and the club throughout this strange and difficult lockdown year.
